Welcome, I am so glad you are here. I can't wait to hear your story.
Here are a few facts that you may not know about me. When I am not capturing weddings & working behind the camera, I love to spend time in community with family, my friends, and my fiancee. I also have a love for the mountains, so in my free time, you will usually find me taking a road trip to Banff, going snowboarding on my favourite hill, or going for a hike. My other passion in life is working with youth. So my weekdays consist of me working part time as a school counsellor and studying for my Child & Youth Care Degree.
My Story & My Why
Filmmaking isn't just another job, but a God-given dream and passion. He is the foundation of every thing I do and I believe He is the master of love and storytelling. A verse that has spoken to me throughout this journey comes from James 1:17, which says that "Every good and perfect gift is from above". My business, my clients, my love for videography is an incredible gift.
I am involved in something that is so much bigger than just myself and my business. I am constantly reminded that I am not doing this for my own personal gain, but for the credit of the Lord. True love is one of the greatest things that each human gets to experience and I am so honoured to be given these opportunities.
Growing up, I remember many moments, where I fell in love with filmmaking. One of the reasons why I am passionate about it, is because it allowed me to remember the moments that I'd never want to forget. When I would re-watch old home videos it would remind me exactly what it felt like to be in that moment. The feeling, the people, the smells, and the sounds around me. That is one of the reasons I love filming weddings because I get to capture these moments and feelings for couples to look back on.
To me it's not just a video clip, but the story behind it. I love learning about my couple's story and weaving it into their wedding film. I am passionate about creating films that tell your story and that you can look back on to remember the feelings and memories of your day.
Taking you back to the moments that matter
One of my favourite tv shows of all time is This is Us. If you haven't watched it, I highly recommend you start it (I promise you will be hooked). This show is constantly the inspiration for my films because it captures real and raw emotions of the characters. I am inspired by its documentary style, emotional moments, its use of storytelling, and its natural tones and colours. In this show, they also utilize a Super 8 Vintage Camera. I was so inspired that I purchased the exact same vintage camera they use for those clips. I am always re-watching this show to gain more inspiration for my own wedding films.
